Eligibility & Submission Requirements :

• Must have at least 3 years of APTA membership (any Chapter), and demonstrated legislative advocacy with APTA NC
• Must be nominated by a licensed APTA NC member
• Nomination form (includes Letter of Recommendation)
• 1 Additional Letter of Recommendation by an APTA NC member
• CV/resume
• Other Letters of Recommendation accepted

Award winners are role models in legislative advocacy who demonstrate:

Recipients of this award have contributed significantly to legislative issues of APTA NC and are role models in the area of legislative advocacy.

Recipients must:

• Demonstrate effective involvement and leadership in the area of legislative action that promotes, protects, and progresses the PT profession
• Have evidence of dedication to state and/or federal advocacy for legislative activities that impact PT, serve as a key contact for state and/or federal legislators, and/or promote advocacy through fundraising for the PT PAC.

Winners will receive:

• Awards ceremony announcement
• Commemorative plaque
• Highlight in APTA NC newsletter & website
• $100 reward to help defray travel and lodging expenses
