The purpose of the Physical Therapist Assistant Summit is to gather practitioners, educators, and stakeholders in the field of physical therapy to promote collaboration, share innovative practices, and enhance the professional development of Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs).
This summit aims to address current challenges, celebrate advancements, and cultivate a supportive community dedicated to improving patient care outcomes. Through dynamic workshops, expert panels, and networking opportunities, participants will gain valuable insights into emerging trends, evidence-based practices, and the evolving role of PTAs in the healthcare system.
Our goal is to empower PTAs to advocate for their profession, elevate standards of practice, and ultimately contribute to the overall health and wellness of the communities they serve by brainstorming, strategizing, and planning the new PTA Special Interest Group. The PTA SIG is not a box to contain PTAs, but rather a home base and launching pad to all the other opportunities of our state Chapter and national Association.
The APTA North Carolina wants to do what YOU the PTAs want to be done for you!
We hope you'll join us at the PTA Summit!
Sincerely,
Tiffany Needham, PTA, MS

Director, PTA Program, Central Carolina Community College

In collaboration with APTA North Carolina's PTA Director, Tiffany Needham, the APTA North Carolina Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee developed "The APTA & You: Value in PTA Membership & Engagement." This presentation is targeted to PTA students with a goal of increasing their knowledge about the various opportunities that exist with APTA membership and ways that APTA North Carolina can support them along their professional journey. While the target audience is PTA students, all members of the physical therapy profession may benefit from viewing this presentation.
