Pre-Approved Ed Providers

  • Under NC General Stature 21 NCAC B.0108: 
  • If approved through another PT entity (such as DPT program or APTA), your course is considered approved in NC
  • You do not need to also apply for course approval with APTA NC.

Application Fees

$100:  1 course x 1 time x 1 yr

  • $150:  1 course multiple times in 1 year
  • $125:  Course Series for 1 year
  • $25:   Member application for accreditation for an attended course not otherwise accredited
  • $40: Non-Member application for accreditation for an attended course not otherwise accredited

Tips for Writing Objectives

  • Must be written from attendee point of view, for instance:


  • “Upon completion of this course, the attendee will be able to _________ understand/ describe/integrate/ explain/identify/apply . . .”



Schedule Agenda for

Max Credit

  • Each credit hr depends on 50 to 60 minutes of continuous education
  • Each half-credit hour (0.5) depends on 25 to 30 minutes of continuous ed
  • 1/4-hours not counted for credit
  • For maximal credit hrs, schedule agenda with only 10 minute breaks; or, schedule 15 - 20 min break across 2 hours, maintaining at least 50 minutes of education per hour
