Senator Tedd Budd visits HPU DPT program
Every year, the APTA sets aside a day for PTs and PTAs to visit their Congressional leadership in their offices in Washington DC to explain PT issues. Legislators want to hear from constituents!
Dr. Steven Wentz is a full-time PT and business partner at Upstream Rehabilitation. With 12 years of experience, he is driven by a strong passion for learning and service. In addition to clinical work, Steven has been a speaker, researcher, and author—recently contributing a textbook chapter on Primary Care PT. Steven’s professional Association leadership positions include Advanced Privileging Chair for the APTA Federal Primary Care Special Interest Group, Treasurer of the APTA PT Fund Board of Trustees, and mentor to young clinicians for the APTA North Carolina chapter. In 2024, completed a one-year intensive program as an APTA Leadership Scholar, along with a select group of PT from across the country. His exerpience as a key legislative contact for both state and federal legislators makes him the perfect person to lead our Chapter’s legislative outreach as our Federal Affairs Liaison (FAL). Steven is a strong advocate for advancing our profession and for practicing at the highest standards of the physical therapist license.
